Life Is Precious

On Saturday I was able to participate in the national rally against abortion in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic where I live. All over the United States and in five different countries around the world this was happening from 9-11am. In my town over 100 hundred people were there with their signs. I was able to go with my dad to this event and it was amazing!
At nine o'clock we started the rally with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is my favorite picture<3 It was such a blessing to se parents that brought their children!

Abortion is a subject that I feel passionately about. Did you know a little more than one third of our generation is missing because of abortion? Life is precious and sacred, created by God, and it is horrible that people would even think of destroying His precious creation. It is wrong to murder innocent babies. Its that simple, it needs to stop and thats why I participated. It was amazing to see so many people come out and join that rally that believe the same way I do about this issue. America is failing, but being able to state our opinions publicly without being arrested or getting hurt, is still a wonderful thing about America that not many other countries have anymore.

"You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." -Psalms 139:13-14

Did you participate in a rally near you?
What are your thoughts on the issue of abortion?

  1. Honestly, I find this subject very interesting as well as the rally in general.

As for abortion, I feel as though that is a more personal matter. People can choose weather or not they want to go through pregnancy and labor. Over all it's their choice. Sometimes, especially with teen pregnancy, it was a careless accident that caused it. 13, 14, 15 year old girls shouldn't face labor as 20 year old women. I believe that the baby was never in this world to begin with, so it's not like it was murder to a living human being.

As a note, I am NOT trying to dis your opinion or values. I was just adding in my own perspective.

    1. Thank you for your opinion Amethyst:)
Although I understand were you are coming from, I think that if a girl or woman of any age thinks she is mature enough to be with a man and get pregnant, she should be mature enough to face childbirth. You shouldn't kill an innocent baby just because you made a mistake, as Isable said below. No matter how old you are you should not kill an innocent child, no matter the circumstances.

  2. Amethyst Wilson, the bible says that life started in the womb. So yes, it it murder to do abortion. If a person makes the mistakes and becomes pregnant at 15 or 18 or so... than they shouldn't kill a baby because they made that mistake. It it consequent of that horrible mistake.

Jeremiah 1:5 John 3:16 These verses might help. THANK you for your time. I know this is REALLY long but-

I DEDICATE THIS COMMENT TO AMETHYST WILSON!

  3. Abortion is a very interesting subject.

I don't think young teens should have to go through the pain of childbirth (like Amethyst said) so I guess abortion is their option.

But if you are older than 18, I think then it becomes murder and a wrong thing. Because you can go through it, and then give the child up for adoption or something.

    1. I totally get where you're coming from. But I have to say, murder is murder. It doesn't make sense to say it's totally fine if you're under a certain age, but once you're older it's wrong and murder. It doesn't add up. And I totally get what you're trying to say....I often try to put myself in other people's shoes...to imagine myself raped and pregnant at my age. And I can't imagine how horrific that would be, how scary. I think, though, that I would never be able to kill my baby. I just wouldn't be able to live with myself, especially when so many couples are waiting with open arms for a baby. I've also heard of girls who have had babies at extremely young ages, and been incredibly grateful for them. So it can be done.

    2. Noor, sorry I don't agree. If someone does make that mistake and become pregnant at a young age than- they made that mistake and should deal with the consequent. They shouldn't have done what they did. They shouldn't KILL a baby because they made that mistake. The child is a blessing even if they made that mistake or not. It's still wrong!

    3. Thank you for sharing your opinion, Noor:)
As I said above if a girl thinks she is mature enough to be with a man and get pregnant she needs to be mature enough to face the consequence of childbirth! Murder is murder no matter the circumstances. And as Christine said, it can be done. Girls at really young ages can be put to sleep and not feel a thing during childbirth. There are other options besides killing the baby.

    4. I doesn't become killing just because the mother is a certain age. Abortion is horrible.

  4. I loved seeing all the pictures! I really wished I could have participated in one of the ones in our area, but I didn't know about it till it was too late. I was babysitting at my sister's house and then going to a party anyway, so I couldn't have made it. But I'm glad so many people did! Together we can make a difference. :)

  5. Thanks for sharing that, glad you could go to a "prayer rally" as it were. I have strong feelings against abortion as well, my last assignment for Civics was an essay on why abortion should be illegal, sadly there was another girl who picked this topic and wrote an essay on why we "need" abortion and how it's a "women's rights thing" because "it's just a fetus", it's sad that this is what people say to excuse this "legal murder".

    1. Thank you so much for your encouraging comment! Its good to hear that some teens care about this subject enough to write an essay on it! That is terrific! Keep standing up for the truth! <3

  6. Abortion... Gosh, things such as gay marriage and abortion are things that I don't have much insight of, this the reason why I usually can't comment substantially about it. Even my family doesn't talk openly about this stuff but during church announcements they talk about it all the time. But what I can say is this: you ended up going to a rally to promote the importance of Pro-Life, and that's amazing. Life is precious, life is a gift, so why waste it? Like Noor said, if you really can't undergo the procedure, rarer than killing this life, let the baby grow and give them up for adoption.

    xoxo Morning

    1. Yes, adoption is such a wonderful option! So many families would be so willing to take the baby into their home. <3 Life is truly precious, as you said<3

  7. This is so cool that you got to take part in the rally. I've never really looked into doing one around where I live, but I believe that abortion is such a sad thing. I'm actually reading a book right now about a girl who is trying to deal with the choice of abortion that she made back during a tragic situation she went through, and it made me really think about the situation a lot more.
    Thanks for this post <3

  8. Abortion is murder! Whether it was a mistake for them to get pregnant or not, you should not kill the sweet baby. Great post Clara! That's a great thing that you did!
