Lord I Need You

Sometimes when life seems gentle and blessings flood my way,
I turn my gaze away from You and soon forget to pray.
But when the sky grows darker and courage turns to fear,
My anxious voice cries upward with words You long to hear.

Lord, I need You when the sea of life is calm.
O Lord, I need You when the wind is blowing strong.
Whether trials come or cease, keep me always on my knees.
Lord, I need You. Lord I need You.

Lord help me to remember I'm weak but You are strong.
I cannot sing apart from You, for Lord, You are my song.
Though I'm prone to wander and boast in all I do.
Lord, keep my eyes turned upward so I depend on You.

Lord, I need You when the sea of life is calm.
O Lord, I need You when the wind is blowing strong.
Whether trials come or cease, keep me always on my knees.
Lord, I need You. Lord I need You.

Ask Clara (Answers) Part 2

Back here with part two of Ask Clara!

Maddy's Questions:
1. What's your dream vacation?
Ooh, my dream vacation would be spending almost all of my summer holiday somewhere where its insanely hot, like Hawaii or the Bahamas. I would go swimming or diving everyday, and ice-cream would be available 24/7. No screaming siblings and a nice air-conditioned hotel room! :D

2. Do you play any sports?
At the moment, no I do not play sports. I played volleyball when I was 10 and 11, but I haven't played much after that.

3. Have you ever gone anywhere other than the United States?
No, I haven't. But one of my dreams for when I become older is to travel the world just my suitcase and me. =)

Ashley's Questions:

1. What's your favorite book in the Bible and why?
I really love Esther. I really admire her bravery and willingness to give herself up for her people. The qualities in Esther are the qualities I want to strive for as a Christian girl.

2. Have you ever been on a missions trip? If so, where and what did you do?
I have never been on a missions trip before. I think it would be so much fun though! I have always wanted to go help out in orphanages in Mexico, but I don't think that God is leading me to that area this year.

3. Have you ever read the Bible through? If so, how? (In regular order, chronological order)
No, I have never read the Bible all the way through. That is something I should try to do.

4. What is your salvation testimony?
I have grown up in a Christian home all my life, and I gave my life to Jesus when I was about 7. When I was 10 we moved to Tennessee. Thats when I started to really doubt my salvation. Now that I was older I began to really think about God and salvation deeply, and I thought, "How could God want to save me.....he wouldn't want me, I'm no good....he doesn't love me at all." I didn't think that a holy God would want such a naughty little girl as I. I was doubting big time, and I didn't know what to do about it. One night we went to church and there was a guest speaker. He spoke about doubting. That was just what I needed....I was doubting. I listened intensely the whole way through the service with open hears and heart. I think my mom knew what I was going through because she reached over and held my hand, passing me one of her tender, "you know I'm always right here for you" looks, because somehow parents know everything about there kids:) The speaker spoke about how Satan puts doubts in our minds to make us think that we have lost our salvation, but God says in John 10:28 "And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand." I believed it. I believed that when I prayed back when I was 7, God had come into my heart, he heard me, and I was just doubting. Human nature is to doubt promises and thats what I was doing. No, not everything from then on was easy now that I had that problem knocked out. I would still have struggles in my Christian walk, but I knew God was right beside me and He loved me.

Autumn's Questions:
1. Biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve? Oh, I have several, but I won't bore you will the big fat list I have! :) I really hate it when my CD player skips! I don't know why it annoys me, but when a CD skips it just gets on my nerves for some reason......

2. Whats the worst time of the year (season wise)?
Totally the winter time. Yeah, its pretty at first, but the snow and the dark sky can get a little dismal and depressing, dark and dreary...if you know what I mean:)

3. Is there a song that really annoys you?
Yes, yes yes yes yes!!!! I really dislike theme songs from little kid shows like this one show my siblings watch on occasion called Zula Patrol. The show is about these little alien things that fly around and teach you about the atmosphere and planets, and the theme song is sung in this squeaky little kid voice and its fast and the tune is just ridiculous!! Oh, Clara........calm down! (I was literally attacking the key-board in rage) Ha ha!

4. Dress up of dress down?
It depends of my mood or the occasion. If I'm going to a fancy party or a banquet I will want to dress up a little more, but I really just like my jeans, and comfy sweeter or a skirt. So I would say I usually dress down.

5. Do you like liver as a food?
Ew! No! I know people who love it. I just.....yeah don't like it! Once my mom made it for not fun. :)

Ask Clara (Answers)

Hey guys! I'm back with part one with all the answers to your questions from my Ask Clara post. I had such a fun time answering these! I was going to do a video, but when I attempted it, I got so frustrated and confused with the iMovie editing stuff (I had to edit a lot, because I kept messing up in the video or giving to much info about on question such as the toothbrush query:) I just gave up and decided to write out the answers. :) NOTE: I am really bad at figuring out computer programs!

Arushee's Questions:
1. What motivated you to start blogging?
My mom introduced me to this blog called Seven Sisters awhile back. I really loved their blog, and I wanted to try, so I asked my parents and here I am!

2. Do you sing at all/play any musical instrument?
Yes, I do sing, and I do it all the time! Its one of my favorite things to do. I play the piano and I know a little bit of guitar.

3. What are some of your favorite blogs/bloggers? Any Inspirations?
I don't really have any favorite blogs. I really love all of my blogging friends! You guys are amazing!

Sarah's  Questions:
1. Do you write? If so, how many words have you written on your largest project?
My largest project was a book I wrote for younger girls called Hannah's Hope. It was about a girl and her family who lived during the 1930's Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. That project was about 6,000 words.

2. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy playing piano, singing, baking, photography, reading, thinking, listening to audio books, and crafting.

3. Do you keep a journal?
Yes, I do keep a journal. I'm not a faithful writer in it however. When I do write in it I have a problem, I am angry about something or depressed. Then I go to my journal and vent out 5 pages of the problem and after I feel much better. When I get looking back in my journal through past entries I think to myself, "This is so depressing! Did I say that?! Well, thats awkward!"

Jordy's Questions:
1. What would you like to do as an occupation one day?
I would really enjoying being a teacher to special needs kids. I have always really loved to work with special needs, and I think that is the occupation I will want to pursue.

2. If you could acquire one skill immediately, and be proficient at it, which skill would you choose?
Sign language would be the skill I would choose because I think it would go along with the occupation I would like to pursue. I have heard it takes years to be fluent in sign language so it would be awesome to be immediately competent at it.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would go on a tour of Europe. I have always been inspired by travel TV shows like Rick Steve's Europe and GlobeTrecker, and I have always wanted to just go walk around somewhere in Paris peeking into little cafes and shops. It would just be totally amazing!

4. Do you like unicorns?
Um.....I don't know.......

5. What's your favorite sort of food?
Oh! I just love pizza! Who doesn't love pizza? I also love brats and sauerkraut.

Julia's Questions:
1. Dill or sweet pickle?
Dill totally!

2. What is one goal for your blog?
I would really like to write more on my blog. I am still getting something ready of my own work to post. I would also like to write more thought provoking posts in the future.

3. Have you ever wanted a pet?
Oh, yes. When I was seven or eight I watched shows like Benji and Homeward Bound, and I would just long for a perfect, cute and cuddly pet like the ones in the movies. Our family got a little dog about a year after that, and she was far from anything I had seen on TV. She was mean and would bite. We ended up giving her away. We had a cat last year, but she died. I have never been much of a pet person anyways.

4. Do you like shopping at fabric stores?
I do if I have a project to do. I don't really like to sew all that much, but I have a project to do I love shopping for fabric. Last Christmas I started to sew an apron, and I haven't finished it, but the fabric is pretty! :)

5. What is your greatest fear?
I fear of drowning in the ocean, falling from a skyscraper or getting stuck at the top of an old ferris wheel.

Morning's Questions:
1. Do you consider making grilled cheese and important skill?
Yes, I do. I am really bad at making grilled cheese......(like really bad, people) I love to cook and bake but I can't make a grilled cheese to save my life. I always turn up the temperature on the stove to high thinking that it will speed up the process, but instead it burns the butter then the bread and the cheese doesn't get melted. :( NOTE: Have you ever tried a Velveeta grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with Doritos? Its  the best ever!)

2. Would you rather spend a day walking backwards or walking with a smiley face Sharpied on your forehead?
I would totally take the smily face! Walking backwards would just not fly with me. I would be even more clumsy than I am now!!I think that it would be funny to see how people would react to a random girl with a smily face on her forehead! Hey, maybe I should try that out one day???

3. What is the color of your toothbrush?

4. I you were a tree what tree would you be?
Either an aspen or an oak.

5. What is your catch phrase or something you say a lot?
I don't have a catchphrase, but my dad does. If someone asks how he is doing he says "finer than frogs hair." :D

Stay tuned to part two of Ask Clara! Have a great evening y'all!

Beauty and The Beast Production

I had an amazing time in the production of Beauty and The Beast! I made a lot of new friends that I will miss terribly! I always hate when a production comes to an end. We worked so hard on this play and then its all over in two nights:( My friends and I have a joke going on about when productions come to a close every one gets PDD. (Post Drama Depression) I am a a little sad, but all in all I had an amazing time!

On the first night we had to be at the theater two hours early. We practiced bowing and exiting the stage then we ate dinner and the rest of the time we sat in the dressing room and got ready for the performance. We got our costumes and stage make-up on then one of the girls parents brought 6 boxes of pizza! It was great! I had already had dinner, but I had some pizza as well. Who wouldn't? :) There were tons of laughter, singing, taking selfies and chatting in the dressing rooms up until about ten minutes before places then everyone got very quiet.... Surprisingly I wasn't nervous at all. A group of us girls got together in a corner held hands a prayed before we went out. It was really amazing. I just felt a peace about going out on stage.

Me and my good friend Babette!

Oh, It was just a wonderful experience! I don't know what else to talk about! I might be posting a part two to this post because I might be able to get some pictures of all of us kids on stage during the performance!
Belle and I

Everyones costumes were terrific! Belles was my favorite. I overheard that they spray painted her dress gold, and actually it looks really good! This is my 'human again' costume. I  look like Cruella Diville! But it was a fun costume to act in:)

Marice (Belles father) and I! Don't you just love the mustache!?

Back stage was a mess at the tech rehearsal. We used a local elementary school stage and there were chairs, music stands, drums, chalk boards and benches all over back stage. It was hard to change the sets for the stage hands. Believe me I saw the stress first hand! The last dress rehearsal was a disaster and I thought the performance was going to be terrible, but actually it went amazingly smooth, and the director said she only saw two minor things happen in the two performances! It was truly magical! My favorite part of the performance was the last song Beauty and the Beast, when we all were singing in a big line. It was just amazing, I can describe it feeling. The music and the cheering and just the fullness of our singing was astounding!

Tale as old as time song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast.

DIY Photo Memory Wreath

Hey y'all!
I did this DIY for my bedroom not to long ago. If you're like me, you're horrible at decorating your bedroom and have a hard time picking out pictures or wall designs to hang on your wall. Well, I found a solution to my "decorators block"!
20-30 clothes pins
Hot glue gun

How to do it:
This project is pretty self-explanatory. Cut out a cardboard ring. You can make it big or small to you liking. Once you have determined your size glue the clothes pins, the open side of the pin out so the pictures will be on the outside of the wreath. Now attach your pictures. You could also glue some glitter on the pins or flowers to jazz it up a bit:) Ekk! The production I'm in, Beauty and The Beast is tonight! I'm getting really nervous, but very excited! Pictures to come!
