Unorganized Rambles

Christmas break!! Finally, right?! Last week I went to the library and got several travel books about Europe. I have always wanted to live there...ah...someday... I'm such a dreamer. I'm back now. Just had a "somewhere over the rainbow" moment there:) hee hee..... Otherwise I've just been hanging out...knitting scarfs still shopping for Christmas presents, listening to Christmas music, drinking hot chocolate and looking forward to seeing Star Wars The Force Awakens!  The choir that I am in did a flashmob at the mall yesterday. We sang five Christmas carols as we walked around the store. It was kind of awkward after we got going because people just stopped and stared at us like we were loony as we kept walking in circles in our area....and we couldn't really hear each other because we were spread out so we really had to sing loud, and that was even more awkward:p But after we all got going I think we sounded good!Last week I went to the big master class my teacher puts on with a local musician/ composer. I had been counting down the days to this class for two months. I was really nervous about my song. I knew my song and I was confident playing at home, but I really don't like playing in front of strangers and yeah...I was a nervous wreck. Ask my mom:). But it went really good and I feel like a did well on my song. The class was three hours long. I could hardly feel my legs after sitting there all that time. There was about 14 performers and each of them could bring two people with them. We were all packed into someones living room and as you can imagine it was pretty crowded. My moms birthday is today! I love her so much! She is a great mom and also my best friend! <3 A lady from our church made her a huge chocolate cake! It looks like its right up there with Autumn's fabulous cake! It you people click on the link, just warning you, your going to start drooling! I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it! Last night my mom organized a neighborhood caroling expedition. We weren't the most talented carolers that ever lived, but it was a lot the fun. Like who doesn't like walking a whole mile in the cold and the dark with no hat.....

P.S Check out these songs! Heres one and two<3

Have you been to see Star Wars yet?
What is your favorite kind of cake?
What is your favorite Christmas song?

Beautiful 01

My future seemed to stretch out before me like a straight road... Now there is a bend in it. I don't know what lies around the bend, but I'm going to believe that the best does.

Take My Breath Away...

My mom and I went on a beautiful hike last week. I was really skeptical of the hike. I thought that it wouldn't be fun at all, but actually I had a great time:) It was so beautiful in the mountains. These pictures can't even come close to the beauty of those amazing mountains<3

Enjoying this song so much! This guy is amazing<3 This song is called The Road To Your Heart<3

Life Is Precious

On Saturday I was able to participate in the national rally against abortion in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic where I live. All over the United States and in five different countries around the world this was happening from 9-11am. In my town over 100 hundred people were there with their signs. I was able to go with my dad to this event and it was amazing!
At nine o'clock we started the rally with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is my favorite picture<3 It was such a blessing to se parents that brought their children!

Abortion is a subject that I feel passionately about. Did you know a little more than one third of our generation is missing because of abortion? Life is precious and sacred, created by God, and it is horrible that people would even think of destroying His precious creation. It is wrong to murder innocent babies. Its that simple, it needs to stop and thats why I participated. It was amazing to see so many people come out and join that rally that believe the same way I do about this issue. America is failing, but being able to state our opinions publicly without being arrested or getting hurt, is still a wonderful thing about America that not many other countries have anymore.

"You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." -Psalms 139:13-14

Did you participate in a rally near you?
What are your thoughts on the issue of abortion?

Her feet dangled in the cool water of the lake as she starred at the reflection of her tear stained face
The sky was turning a dark grey, but she didn't care
Her heart urged her to stay
She came here to think, but she could not
The sky began to cry, with her. She stayed inhaling the smell of clear air
The rhythm of the falling rain was soothing, and felt like music falling down on her
She look up at the sky, lifted her hands and said, "Water my soul, let me feel peace and wash away the pain of yesterday."

The Lake

Yesterday some of my family and I got to go to a lake for a few hours. It was a blast! I didn't bring my swimsuit because I didn't want to sit in the car for an hour in wet clothes on the drive back:( Bad choice! I really wish I had brought my suit after I got there! The water was perfect!
My cousin convinced me to jump in the lake (in a jean skirt!) with her just before we left.
I still wish I would have taken my swimsuit, but I had a great time anyways!
And sitting in the car in wet clothes wasn't all that bad:)

Answer the 11 questions
Nominate 11 bloggers and ask them 11 questions

Autumn's Questions:

1. If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?
Thats hard! I think it would be interesting to trade lives with a nun for a day, maybe. I'm not Catholic but I have always thought that nuns were interesting.

2. How did you meet your best friend?
I have two very close best friends. One of them I meet at a park when I was 5. We were so much alike! We are going on our 10th "friend-aversary" this summer! My other very best friend and I meet each over each others blogs. We have known each other for only a year but its as if we have known each other for 10 years because we are so close and have grown so much together!

3. What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?
My hair I suppose. I have always wanted red hair, but blond is nice as well.

4. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Oh man! Well, you see. I was at church and I was getting some coffee at our fellowship/ snack table and this guy behind me said, "so how are you doing?" My back was turned and I out of the corner of my eye he was turned towards me. I thought that he was talking to me and I said "I'm good, how about you?" He wasn't talking to me after all and him and the old lady that he was talking to (that I didn't see)  started laughing! It was quite funny, but an honest mistake! Ok, please don't tease me! :)

5. Do you believe it is vital to everyday life to know what is happening in the world around you?
Yes, I think so. It is important to know how the world is changing and what is happening around us.

6. Which is better-a novel or a movie?
It depends on my mood. Some days I feel like reading a fat novel with a cup of Orange Spice tea in my hand, and other days I just want to watch a good movie. Speaking of movies. Has anyone seen Jurassic World yet? I really want to go watch it with my brother. It looks pretty creepy!

7. Are you spiritual or religious in any way? If so, how?
Yes, I am a Christian and I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who came and died for me on the cross and now if I believe and trust in him I will go to Heaven some day.

8. How would you describe yourself in three words?
Full of dreams.

9. Do you know your heritage?
Like inheritance? Not really...

10. On the first day of ruling the world what would you do?
I would make sure everyone has read The Book Thief and I would give out free ice-cream!
Really stupid answer, I know, this is what I would do in a fairytale world!

11. Jeans or jeggings?
Jeans. Period.

My questions for y'all:
1. If you could ask your future self one question, what would it be?
2. What is  your middle name?
3. What shoe size are you?
4. What would your hero name be?
5. Do you like Nutella on toast?
6. What is your favorite foreign accent?
7. Describe this scene in  3-8 words:
8. Have you ever taken a train?
9. If you had to sing a solo for a concert, which song would you choose to sing?
10. How do you do your hair on a busy morning?
11. If you could automatically obtain a skill which skill would it be?

Girls, Listen Up!

Hey girls,
I got this great newspaper article in the mail from my wonderful grandma the other day. It was entitled 'Your beautiful is beautiful.'
The article was about this photographer that put on a "no makeup allowed" photo shoot with some high school girls. No editing was involved in the photos. The girls really liked their photos, but some were afraid to put them on the internet or show anyone the pictures. The photographer encouraged the girls to show others and they did eventually. The girls got really great responses and were very encouraged that they looked beautiful even without make-up on! The girls were inspired to make a video to encourage others that they are beautiful just the way they are. Here is the video. Please watch it. It was so encouraging to me and it will be to you as well.

Wow! Wasn't that amazing!? I have struggled with being myself around other girls my age. Its always hard when you have to be around those girls who seem 'perfect' and treat everyone like they aren't. They dress really cute, their make up is just perfect, and their hair does whatever they want it to do. Its hard for me to accept that I have my own clothing and hair style and I may be bigger and taller that everyone else. I don't have to follow the crowd, because I am me and I am beautiful. No matter how I wear my hair or what style of clothes I put on, I am beautiful just the way I am. And so are you! Girls, listen up you are beautiful!  Write in your mirror or put sticky notes by your bed or on your desk that say good this about yourself. I'm going to try to accept myself for who I am and not for someone who I am not. Are you up for the challenge?

I am self-confident
What are you?
Say something good about yourself
I am....(Fill in the blank) in the comments

You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind.

An orphan....
A Train.....
A Suitcase.....
The Unknown.....

Who am I? Where am I going? Will anybody just tell me?! These questions entered and exited the girls mind alternately. Her stomach was churning, hands shaking, mind thumping, and fear seeping into her very soul. Her eyes were fixed on the floor of yellow, dirt stained carpet in the train. She tried to keep calm. She wanted to scream inside. She stomped her foot on her old suitcase with its hinges almost rotten from age, in anger. Strangers across the isle starred for a moment at the angered girl. She scowled back. They knew nothing. They did not understand.
She had known nothing but the orphanage and now she was being sent away. No one would tell her where they were sending her or why. No one cared.
The train began to move. The wheels clacking as the engine attined speed. She was heading into the unknown, where she knew no one at all and no one knew her.

Life // Random Thoughts

Hey guys!
I'm back. Finally...:)
Life has been incredibly dull. Usually I'm non-stop busy, but not the last month or two. My mom gave me my American History lessons to work on over the summer and thats pretty much all I've been doing. I love being busy. I really don't know why, but I do. I love being involved in anything I can get involved in. I'm going to be starting volleyball practice in a few weeks so that should keep me busy for the rest of the summer. Practice is almost everyday! :D :D

Meet Flynn! My brother and I just got two cute little kittens! This is my brothers kitten and mine is named Avery. They look exactly alike. Can you guess where we got the name? Yup....Disney's Tangled! My siblings and I recently watched Tangled for the first time! It was awesome! (Flynn was one of my favorite characters:) Speaking of Disney.....one of my friends invited me to her Disney themed birthday party. We are all suppose to dress up as our favorite Disney character. Do you guys have any ideas who I should be? Besides Elsa! Please:)

Last week I finally got my Only Boys Aloud CD from Amazon! I received a gift card last Christmas for Amazon and wanted to purchase the CD. It sat in the shopping cart for a few months until my mom got enough school book for next year added so we could get free shipping on the order. Its a great CD! Only Boys Aloud is a welsh boys choir. They are just amazing and the music is so powerful! I get shivers down my spine every time I listen to their songs:) They appeared on Britans Got Talent in 2012 and the video is amazing! Take a look at their faces as they sing. These boys are so happy despite all of the things that have been happening in the Welsh valleys. Choir has obviously made a big impact on their lives and they are inspiring others because of that passion. Please, watch the video. You can buy their incredible CD here!

holding nothing back

Behind this curtain there is a heart that's hurting.
It's been taking a beating. It's starting to fall apart.
And I feel like such an easy target. Dodging bullets, I'm exhausted.
How can every moment be this hard?
I'm holding nothing back from you.
Doesn't really matter what I lose.
Got a heart that's open. I'm broken and I want you to know
Jesus, I don't want anything coming in between you and me.
Jesus, it doesn't matter what I have to go through.
I'm holding nothing back, nothing back from you.

I've got a list that goes on and on.
It's overflowing with memories of everything that I've been doing wrong
And I'll be the first to say, I've chased after so many foolish things looking for a
way to kill the pain.
Oh, I'm holding nothing back from you.
Doesn't really matter what I lose.
Got a heart that's open. I'm broken and I want you to know.
Jesus, I don't want anything coming in between you and me.
Jesus, it doesn't matter what I have to go through.
I'm holding nothing back, nothing back from you.

I try to do the right things.
Why am I struggling day to day with these same old things?
Whatever's taking your place, I'm getting out of the way.
I'm getting out of the way.
Jesus, I don't want anything coming in between...
Jesus, I'll do what I gotta do.
I'm holding nothing back, back from you.
Jesus, I don't want anything coming in between you and me.
Jesus, it doesn't matter what I have to go through.
I'm holding nothing back, nothing back from you.
-Holding Nothing Back by Ryan Stenenson

We all go through battles and tests. Spiritual battles or emotional battles of doubt, fear, unworthiness, battles with siblings, parents, battles with yourself and just life in general. Its hard going through those times and one top being a teenager! Life can seem totally out of whack one day and other days life feels perfect. This song is just what I needed today. I know deep in my heart I'm not alone, Jesus is with me just when I need Him. As my mom says "A teacher is always quite during a test." Maybe God is just being quite during my tests and battles, but I can know He is there even though it may not feel that way.
